Introducing
The Orange Box [No-Steam Version] is a video game compilation produced and published by Valve, which contains Half-Life 2: Episode Two, Portal, and Team Fortress 2. The Windows version was released on October 10, 2007 as both retail boxed copy, and as a download available through Valve's service. The Xbox 360 version was also released on October 10, 2007. A PlayStation 3 version is slated to be released in November 2007.

Critical Reception
As of October 15, 2007 on the review aggregator Game Rankings, the PC version has an average score of 96% based on 8 reviews, and on Metacritic, holds an average score of 96 out of 100 based on 10 reviews.
In the November 2007 issue of PC Gamer, the compilation received a score of 94%. Dan Adams of IGN gave the PC compilation a score of 9.5/10. Jeff Gerstmann of Gamespot gave the whole package for Windows a score of 9.5/10.

Half-Life 2: Episode Two is the second installment in Valve Corporation's series of episodes for the computer game Half-Life 2. Continuing with Valve's method of orienting each episode around a particular theme or set of technologies, Episode Two focuses on expansive environments, travel and nonlinear play, and, following the closing events of Episode One, it sees Gordon Freeman and the series' other major players moving away from City 17 to the surrounding wilderness. Team Fortress 2 (TF2) is a multiplayer team-based first-person shooter with strategy elements, developed by Valve Corporation. The game was announced in 1998 as a sequel to the original Team Fortress mod for Quake, but has since been through various concepts and designs. In 1999 the game appeared to be deviating from the original Team Fortress (and Valve's own Team Fortress Classic, a mod for Half-Life) by heading toward a more realistic and militaristic style of gameplay, but the design metamorphosed further over the game's nine-year development. The final rendition of Team Fortress 2 bears more resemblance to the original Team Fortress and Team Fortress Classic games, and sports a cartoon-like visual style, based on the art of J. C. Portal is a single-player first-person action/puzzle video game developed by Valve. The game consists primarily of a series of puzzles which must be solved by teleporting the player's character and other simple objects using the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device.
